According to the Fayette County Coroner’s office, 27-year-old Zachary Cawthorn became the second fatality from the Bonded Links clubhouse shooting on May 12.
Cawthorn was one of three gunshot victims from the incident at a private party held at the clubhouse, which is located at 196 Industry Parkway in Nicholasville. He died on May 31 at UK Hospital from complications of gunshot wounds, according to reports.
Cawthorn is the second victim to die as a result of the shooting. Mark Boguszewski, 27, of Jefferson County, was found dead by authorities when they arrived at the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m. that morning. The identity of the third victim has not be released.

According to Sgt. Scott Harvey of the Nicholasville Police Department, the party at which the shootings occurred was attended by approximately 50 people. This has led to frustration from authorities, who say that everyone questioned at the scene denied seeing anything or having information to offer.
“We understand that coming forward with information can be a little unnerving. So, with that in mind, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Nicholasville Police Department have pooled resources and are able to offer a $5,000 reward to anyone who has information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the shooter in this case,” Sgt. Harvey stated in a release from the NPD.
The Nicholasville Police Department asks that anyone with any information about the incident call 859-885-9467.
