Warner makes peaceful pinwheels
Students at Warner participated in the United Nations’ International Day of Peace through the Pinwheels for Peace international art and literacy project last Wednesday. All students created pinwheels with messages of peace and “planted” them on the school’s front lawn. Some students worked with the art teacher, Mr. Johnson, to create beautiful peace-themed mosaics as well. Mrs. Blandford, a school counselor, also taught students strategies for building peaceful relationships.
