Wilkerson Joins Nicholasville Police

Please welcome Officer Ryan Wilkerson to the Nicholasville Police Department.

“Officer Wilkerson comes to us from the United States Army, where he served as a staff sergeant,” the department said.

Sworn-in Jan. 25, Wilkerson joins one of the region’s top police departments in a city that will very soon have a new state of the art police headquarters that cost around $7.5 million to build that will open this month. Located at 717 N. Main St., the new police station will be about 25,000 square feet.

In other department matters, Lt. Alexus Jones recently completed the Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Criminal Justice Executive Development course.

“This strenuous four-week course will prepare lieutenant jones to continue her path of being an invaluable asset to our leadership staff,” the department said.

Nicholasville Police Department is still hiring lateral officers. The starting pay is $22.16 per hour or $50,702 annually.

Officers work 12-hour shifts with built-in overtime.
