Letter to the editor for Jan. 28, 2021

Jim Waters has crossed a line

Dear Editor:

I have been a long-time subscriber to The Jessamine Journal and read all columns with interest for an introduction to a variety of ideas and opinions to extend my knowledge. After studying the column written by one of your columnists, Jim Waters, I came to the conclusion that he has stepped over the line in his column. He apparently thinks that he is clever by the way he slyly used his platform to introduce a petition that could potentially incite political unrest in Kentucky.

Mr. Waters has his right to express his point of view, but it is my opinion that his writing at this time has gone to an extreme that is not healthy for the commonwealth of Kentucky.

Sincerely,

JoAnn Travis
