Sarah Browning, a senior at Asbury University, was recently named Student Scholar of Excellence in the Arts, and Overall Winner for her presentation at the SEARCH Symposium, a university event which showcases student research. Browning is a creative writing and english major. She presented “The Pluralization of Ithaka,” which explores the writer’s relationship with the ocean. Browning drew a connection line between  Homer’s “The Odyssey” and Melville’s “Moby Dick” and her own writing and experience with the ocean.
