More than 150 friends and supporters of Wesley Village in Wilmore gathered April 10 to hear the humor of nationally-known comedian Dr. Carl Hurley. Hurley is a former education professor at Eastern Kentucky University, who grew up in a log cabin in the Appalachian foothills of Laurel County. Over the years Hurley has travelled with the Bill Gaither Homecoming Friends, appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, and has frequently entertained at Renfro Valley. All proceeds from the event benefitted the ministry at Wesley Village Senior Living Community.
