Jerry Edward Champion, 72, husband of Rebecca Sue Jeter Champion, passed, Thursday. Service was 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home. The visitation was on Tuesday.

James C. Frederick, 63, husband of Susan, passed Thursday. Service was at 2 p.m. on Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home. The visitation was Monday. Betts & West was honored to serve.

Charles Wilson
Dec. 19, 1929 – July 1, 2017
Charles F. Wilson Jr., 87, husband of Joan Bowman Wilson for 63 years, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Central Baptist Hospital. He was born in Jessamine County on December 19, 1929 to the late Charles F. and Lillian Mitchell Wilson.
Charles loved farming and was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. Additional survivors include a son, Don (Teresa) Wilson; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann “Lib” Wilson and Charlene (Glenn) Montgomery; five grandchildren, Ron, Ryan, Kyle (Laura) Montgomery, Todd (Carrie) Wilson and Kristen Wilson (Marshal) Tingle; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray W. Wilson and a sister, Elizabeth Wilson Dean. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 with Charles Logan Miller and Lib Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Drury, Sid East, Alvin Underwood, Howard Downing, Doug Downing, Eddie Ray Davis and Brad Teater. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 – 8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Marion Hammond

Marion E. “Poppy” Hammond, Sr., 98, widower of Mildred and father of Terry, David, wife Debbie and the late Marion Eugene “Gene” Hammond, Jr. left his earthly home on Sunday, July 2. His Remembrance Service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 10, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Military Honors. His family will receive friends beginning 5 p.m. and ending 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 9. Flowers are welcome, although the family suggests donations be made to Thomson-Hood Veterans Center or to ones favorite charity. Hager & Cundiff is honored to serve the Hammond family.
