Eastern Kentucky Team Stats (2023)

  • Eastern Kentucky had the eighth-best offense last season in terms of total yards (437.4 yards per game), but it ranked fifth-worst on defense (476.4 yards allowed per game).
  • Despite sporting a bottom-25 scoring defense that ranked 19th-worst in FCS last season (33.2 points allowed per game), the Colonels had more success offensively, ranking 34th in FCS by averaging 29.5 points per game.
  • While Eastern Kentucky ranked worst in FCS in passing defense with 312.5 passing yards allowed per game last season, it was a different story offensively, as it ranked 11th-best in FCS (275.7 passing yards per game).

  • Last year Parker McKinney put up 3,033 passing yards (275.7 per game) while going 265-for-419 (63.2%) and throwing for 20 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. He added 225 rushing yards on 66 carries with three touchdowns.
  • A season ago Braedon Sloan picked up 765 rushing yards (69.5 per game) and scored 10 touchdowns. And he tacked on 41 catches for 474 yards and three receiving TDs.
  • Last season Jaden Smith was targeted 84 times and recorded 73 catches for 781 yards and five touchdowns.
  • Frank Lee put together an impressive stat line of 4.5 sacks, three tackles and one interception last year.
