Colts capture region title

Dylan Milholland drove in four runs on two hits to lead West Jessamine ColtsĀ to a 14-2 win over Southwestern Pulaski on Friday. Milholland singled in the second, scoring two runs, and doubled in the sixth, scoring two. Hayden Peters struck out 11 batters and allowed seven hits and two runs over six innings. West Jessamine collected 10 hits, with Ryan Long going 3-for-4 at the plate.
The Colts are now set to face McCracken County out of the first region in the opening round of the Kentucky State Baseball tournament June 7.
Colts grill Garrard
West Jessamine Colts easily defeated the Garrard County Lions 10-3 last Thursday. Dylan Milholland singled in the second, scoring one run, and the team scored five runs on five hits in the fourth inning. Landon Davis pitched five innings for West Jessamine, striking out five and walking two. West Jessamine amassed 12 hits, with Eli Nickell, Hayden Brock, and Milholland each collecting two hits.
West defeats Wayne
Aubrey Kearns drove in four runs on three hits to lead West Jessamine to an 11-6 win over Wayne County Cardinals last Wednesday. Kearns singled in the seventh, scoring two, hit a solo home run in the third, and singled in the sixth. The bottom of the lineup was strong for West Jessamine, with Ethan Wilkins, Hayden Brock, and Dylan Milholland combining for seven of the team’s 14 hits.
