“I conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Inside the driver’s seat was a male driver. I told the driver that the vehicle matched the description of a possible run vehicle in a shoplifting that had just occurred,” the officer said in the citation.

The officer asked the driver to roll down the window. In the rear seas of the vehicle was a woman who had clothing on that matched the description provided by central dispatch.

The woman was Simona Alexandru and she was arrested at 2:15 p.m. She told the officer where the merchandise was located in the vehicle and was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking or shoplifting.

The driver, Ion Oinescu, was arrested for complicity in the shoplifting, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance 1st-offense, no registration plates and criminal possession of forged instrument 2nd-degree (identification card).
