NPD, sheriff’s office execute drug bust

Local law enforcement seized nearly $1,000 in a drug bust last week.
According to a new release posted on Nicholasville Police Department’s (NPD) Facebook page, the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office and the NPD’s drug enforcement unit (DEU) coordinated and completed a drug operation on Monday, Oct. 2.
According to the NPD, the operation was executed through a traffic stop, with the help of the police department’s K9 Macho.
The operation yielded about 61 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 11 grams of suspected fentanyl, and $894 in cash.
Charles “Penny” Bruner was taken into custody and was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st-degree (methamphetamine).
