Barbara Jean Dickerson, age 89, of Lexington, widow of Haden Dickerson, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, at Northpoint Healthcare. She was born April 25, 1934, in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Howard and Nancy Epperson Hillard. She worked alongside her late husband at their family business, Dickerson Refrigeration Sales, Inc. as the office manager, until her retirement, and was a faithful member of Crosswoods Baptist Church in Jessamine County. She is survived by: a daughter, Carolyn Jean (John) Fuller of Nicholasville; three grandchildren, Angela Carol Fuller of North Carolina, Kevin Eugene Fuller (Amber Baldridge) of Lexington, and Haden Gregory Dickerson of Winchester; two great-grandchildren, Liam Chase Fuller, and Kaden Dickerson; and special friend, Chris (Ashley) Johnson of Nicholasville. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a son, Michael Wayne Dickerson; a grandson, John Michael Dickerson; and a daughter-in-law, Angela Gail Dickerson. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Crosswoods Baptist Church in Jessamine County officiated by Pastor Stephen Bruce. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4th at Crosswoods Baptist Church. Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
