Fall sports are underway and Asbury has begun to welcome its incoming freshman student-athletes. Highlighted this week was mens’ soccer, womens’ soccer and volleyball.

The Asbury men’s soccer team welcomes 17 new athletes to combine with their strong returning class for the season.

“These guys have all had great careers leading up to joining our family here at AU. I expect them to contribute on and off the field considering their abilities on the field and in the classroom. This group has impressed us with their character and I can’t wait to see them suited up for AU,” said head coach Ben Andrews.

Womens’ soccer

The Asbury women’s soccer team has announced they will welcome 11 solid recruits to finalize the 2023 recruiting class. This will mark the first season for head coach Zach Welch as he looks to capitalize with this impressive class.

“We are thrilled to welcome 11 new student-athletes to our 2023 program roster. We have added depth and impact players throughout and are excited to see how they impact our program on and off the field. It is an exciting time to be involved in athletics at Asbury University, and I cannot wait to witness the impact this team has throughout our community,” Welch said.

Volleyball

The Asbury volleyball team has announced they will welcome 12 signees mAU in the 2023 class. Joining a firm group of returners, the Eagles look for this class to jump right in with contributions to the squad. AU will begin its second season under the leadership of head coach Tiffany Horton.

“We are thrilled to welcome 12 new student-athletes to our roster this 2023 season!

I can’t wait to see what God has in store for these young ladies and am looking forward to watching them grow and develop their game this season. Go Eagles,” Horton said.

Asbury 2023 fall schedules released

Asbury Athletics recently released the 2023 fall sport schedules and rosters on asburyeagles.com. The first home event of the 2023-24 school year will be Asbury womens’ soccer on Sept. 1. View all Asbury fall schedules and rosters through asburyeagles.com.

#TeamAU Golf Experience

Asbury Athletics continues toward the 2023 TeamAU Golf Experience on Monday, Oct. 23 at Champion Trace Golf Course in Nicholasville.

The TeamAU Golf Experience is an amazing opportunity for Asbury student-athletes and supporters to connect in fellowship. All the proceeds from the event go directly to help fund special projects that enhance the experience for our student-athletes at AU.
