The Nicholasville Rotary Club has a new president.
Morgan Murray assumed the role in early July.
“I’m so proud to serve in a club dedicated to service and the improvement of Jessamine County. Rotary has given me a way of connecting in Nicholasville that I am truly grateful for. I’m excited for others to see what we’ve got planned for the upcoming year,” Murray said.
Murray has been a club member since 2019 and has served the organization in other roles and capacities, including a term as the vice president of the Standford Rotary Club.
She is currently a financial advisor at Edward Jones and resides in Danville with her husband, Matt, and the couple’s three children, Lincoln, Eden and Lyla.
According to organizational information, Rotary “unites a global network of volunteer leaders dedicated to tackling the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges and creating lasting change.”
The Nicholasville club has given over $100,000 in scholarships to Jessamine County seniors since 1980, partners with the Jessamine County Library and the family resource centers of Jessamine County School system, in addition to many other charitable endeavors.
The club meets every Monday at noon at Central Bank in Nicholasville.
