Lace up your running shoes and help out the East Jessamine High School track and cross-country teams during the Will Run For Chocolate 3K on March 20.

This inaugural event will be held at 2 p.m. at Riney B. Park in Nicholasville. The private, closed course is 95 percent paved.
Besides a 3K (1.86 miles) run/walk, the race will include a kids’ ¼ mile dash and a virtual option. The race will be chip timed by RaceRise.

All participants will receive chocolate treats.

Race-day packet pickup will be from 1-2 p.m. March 20.

Proceeds will benefit the track and cross-country team boosters, which help pay costs associated with the teams attending competitions.
