On Feb. 13, Kaylee Crutcher of East Jessamine High School signed her letter of intent to Midway University. Crutcher has been part of the East Jessamine soccer program since the seventh grade under the coaching and guidance of head coach Louis Jones and Devon Burnside for the past two years.
Burnside said Midway is getting a steal in Crutcher.
“Kaylee is one of those players you want on your team.,” she said. “She works hard in practice and plays hard in games. She’s aggressive and filled a nice leadership role for the team this year. We couldn’t be more proud of her for taking this next step in her soccer career, I think she will really enjoy playing at the NAIA collegiate level.”
Jones said Crutcher’s hard work has paid off.
“She’s worked really hard for this,” he said. “I’ve been coaching her since she was little and was able to see the growth within her as a young woman and a soccer player. It’s always cool to see them continue on because they love the game.”
