Lancaster man arrested for DUI
Joseph Alexander Harper, 22, of 2435 Danville Road in Lancaster, was arrested Jan. 18 for DUI and carrying a concealed weapon, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to a possible injury accident. While in route, officers were told vehicles were attempting to leave the scene, and the accident had previously been called in as a possible DUI. Upon arrival, only one vehicle was found to be involved with its suspected driver being Harper.
Harper had left the roadway and struck an unknown object before returning to the roadway and pulling over. Harper was allegedly unsteady on his feet and unaware of the accident which had just occurred.
Harper allegedly told officers he did not hit anything and had only run off the roadway. Officers then showed Harper the damage to the front of his vehicle.
Harper was described as having difficulty answering questions, understanding what was going on and kept asking the same questions several times. A field sobriety test was performed, which Harper failed.
Harper told officers at the hospital he had taken narcotics several days prior but had not taken any that day. Upon searching Harper, a .38 special Colt revolver was found in his jacket pocket, along with one round.
Harper was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for heroin
Jesse H. Messer, 52, of 108 Honeysuckle Court in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 20 for DUI, possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers were dispatched to the above residence in reference to suspicious activity. Messer was seen slumped over in the driver’s seat of a vehicle on the side of the road.
Upon making contact with Messer, a syringe and a spoon were found on the passenger seat with a brown substance suspected to be heroin. Officers then allegedly noticed a firearm tucked in the small of Messer’s back. Messer was asked to step out of the vehicle and a field sobriety test was performed, which Messer failed.
Messer told officers he had used heroin and methamphetamine in the past week, and the firearm was discovered to be a replica.
Messer was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Manshester man arrested for alcohol intoxication
Lesley D. Messer, 45, of 535 Old Field Branch Road in Manchester, was arrested Jan. 20 for alcohol intoxication in a public place, possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and menacing, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers arrived on scene in response to reports given about Messer allegedly showing up intoxicated to a home visit.
Messer allegedly told officers he had driven to the residence but had only consumed a few shots earlier in the day. The owners of the residence wanted Messer to leave, however, officers could not let Messer leave on his own accord.
Officers asked Messer several times if he could contact someone to take him home, although he allegedly would not cooperate with officers, according to the citation.
Harper allegedly kept interrupting officers when they were speaking and was also described as staring down the officers in a threatening manor, according to the citation.
Harper was asked to put his hands behind his back but allegedly resisted. Harper was then forced to the ground so officers could handcuff him.
A silver pill container was found inside Harper’s pockets containing three pills. Harper allegedly said he did not know what they were.
On the way to the Jessamine County Detention Center, Harper allegedly tried to kick out the rear window of the police cruiser, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for marijuana
Austen T. Walker, 18, of 105 Frederick Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 20 for possession of marijuana, receiving stolen property (forearm) and one headlight, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers saw Walker’s vehicle traveling on US27 with only one headlight. Upon conducting a traffic stop, officers could allegedly smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. Marijuana was found in the cup holder, along with a stolen firearm in the glovebox.
Walker was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville woman arrested for DUI
Beatrice Gail Doolin, 67, of 104 Stratton Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 21 for a DUI, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers approached Doolin at Speedway on North Main Street in reference to an earlier case which she was involved in. Before making any statements, Doolin was read her Miranda rights and agreed to speak with officers.
Doolin was described as unsteady on her feet and swaying back and forth during the conversation. She was also described as having slurred speech.
Officers asked Doolin if she had been drinking. She allegedly told officers yes, and she had taken Xanax and blood thinners, according to the citation. A field sobriety test was performed which Doolin failed.
Doolin was arrested and transferred to St. Joseph Jessamine for a blood test, before being transferred to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Kaylin Renee Kelly, 19, of 6050 Highway 38 in Evarts, was arrested for contempt of court, and a rehab diversion violation $10,000 bond.
— Shannon Hurt, 36, of 304 Bassett Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested for failure to appear.
— William Baker, 26, of 319 Edgewood Drive Apt. B in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 18 for non-payment of court costs.
— Samuel T. Isaacs, 29, of 129 Pheasant Run Dr. in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 18 for failure to appear.
— John Winkle, 35, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 18 for contempt of court.
— Robert Moran Hayes, 35, of 227 E. College St. in Georgetown, was arrested Jan. 19 for failure to appear.
— Zachary White, 24, address unknown, was arrested Jan. 19 for non-payment of court costs.
— Jonathan Lloyd Powers, 34, of 412 Corman Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 19 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— Dequan C. Pirtle, 20, of 109 Wichita Drive Apt. 20 in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 19 for fourth-degree assault.
— Timothy M. Brennan, 60, of 119 Everygreen Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 19 for fourth-degree assault.
— Cynthia Ann Wysock, 54, of 765 Pinnacle Court in Lexington, was arrested Jan. 20 for DUI.
— Clayton Hensley, 49, of 104 S. Central Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 20 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— Edgard Jose Rivera Rolon, 33, of 448 Shropshire Ave. in Lexington, was arrested Jan. 21 for non-payment of court costs.
— Pieter David Stryker, 27, of 1425 Handys Bend Road in Wilmore, was arrested Jan. 21for DUI and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle.
— David J. Morrow, 38, of 425 Hartley Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 22 for non-payment of court costs and failure to appear.
— Jennifer Ann Isaacs, 34, of 1610 Glover Ave. in Lexington, was arrested Jan. 23 for DUI, failure to appear and no registration plates.

— Robert Hicks, 42, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 25 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin).
— Joseph Morris, 30, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 25 for receiving stolen property (firearm), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and persistent felony offender.
— Charles Duh, 27, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 25 for receiving stolen property (firearm).
— Timothy McIntosh, 27, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 25 for receiving stolen property (firearm).
— Gregory Dumas, 42, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 25 for receiving stolen property under $10,000.
— Mason Reynolds, 19, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 25 for receiving stolen property under $10,000.
— Timothy Gill, 21, of 112 Eagle Nest Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 25 for failure to appear.
