The Nicholasville City Commission presented keys to the city last week to PFC Cameron Alan Popp, U.S. Army 12 Bravo combat engineer, and East Jessamine High School student Hannah James. Popp was recognized for his commitment and support for the Nicholasville community. James was recognized for her numerous athletic accomplishments during the 2018 softball season at EJHS. The key symbolizes the freedom to enter and leave the city at will as a trusted friend of the city residents. The presentation was conducted by Mayor Pete Sutherland, Commissioner Betty Black, Commissioner Doug Blackford, Commissioner Patty Teater and Commissioner Andy Williams.
