Mary Diane Farley, 70, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, surrounded by her son and daughter.

Born on August 17, 1954, Diane was the 5th of seven children born to Foster and Della Jones. Diane grew up in Grethel, KY, then moved to Michigan after graduating high school.

There she met her late husband Harold Farley while working at General Motors. They were married on November 25, 1972, and had two children. After retiring, they moved back to Kentucky to be closer to their grandchildren.

She was a faithful follower of Christ and attended a local church wherever she lived.

Survived to remember her legacy are her daughter, Jennifer (John) Crawford, and son, Jeffery Farley; grandchildren, Daniel Cordier and Lauren Cordier. She loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She always ended a phone call with them saying, “I love love love you.”

In addition to her immediate family, Diane is survived by five sisters, Evie (Mike) Agius, Lorane (Walter) Pelton, Maria O’Rafferty, Pamela (Charles Ray) Boyd, and Alfrieda Jones, along with several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Mary Diane Farley is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Farley; parents, Foster and Della Jones; and brother, Fairley Jones (Lola).

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 8, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Daniel Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Diane and her family in their time of need.
