Patricia Joseph Simpson, 86, wife of Larry Simpson of Lancaster, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. She was born in Perry County, Kentucky, on February 11, 1938, to the late Willie G. Joseph and Edith Combs Joseph. She worked as the office manager for Bruce Smith Law Offices for many years in Nicholasville. She was a member of the Jessamine County Homemakers, the Jessamine County Garden Club, and the Cedar Creek Sportsman Club. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry; sons, Larry Randolph Simpson (Tonya), William Thomas Simpson (Cassandra), Ernest Gilford Simpson (Tiffany), and Vance Paul Simpson (Sherrie); brother, William O. Joseph (Carol Jo); nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded by a brother, Donald Paul Joseph. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 5, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Vance Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be Randy Simpson, Tom Simpson, Ernie Simpson, Layden Simpson, Alex Simpson, and Ryan Simpson. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association and the Markey Cancer Center.
