Claude “Rusty” Phillip Harris, 68, fiancé of Connie Jean Mason, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at his home in Nicholasville. He was born in Lexington on February 19, 1955, to Claude Harris and Florine Cooper Harris. Rusty was retired from Haynes Trucking, where he worked for over 40 years. Left to cherish his memory are his fiancée, Connie; daughters, Tonya Jackson, Heather Harris, and Jessica Harris; sister, Kathy Lee Gonzalez; grandchildren, Brittney Jackson, Kasey Jackson, and Ricky Lee Cummins, Jr.; as well as great-grandchildren, Landon, Ethan, Carson, Cash, Paisley, and Kayden. He is preceded in death by a brother, John O’Malley; and two sisters, Jeannie Cole, and Geri Abney. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 23, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where family and friends will serve as bearers. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral home.
