The Jessamine County Fair is in full swing until July 16 and today is a chance for veterans, seniors and special needs individuals to explore the midway and the rest of what the fair has to offer, and they can do so for free.
The gates open at 11:30 a.m. and close at 2.
Fair officials said that attendees can will get a free lunch and a chance to ride a collection of low-sensory attractions. Anyone accompanying a senior, veteran or special needs individual will also get into the fair for free. No proof of status is necessary.
The free session is paid for by the profits made from the sale of specific cookbook by the Jessamine County Fair Board.
