The Farm Service Agency Office in Lexington is temporarily relocating to Versailles.
Jennifer Hudnall, executive director for Fayette County, notified farmers this week in an email.
The office is located in a building where other government agencies are located.
“This office is currently serving more than 200 people a day. With producer and employee safety in mind, we have had to temporarily change where we operate and offer services,” Hudnall said.
Until further notice, employees will operate out of the Versailles Service Center at 182 Beasley Road in Versailles. The phone number to the Versailles office is 859-983-3411. The Lexington FSA office phone number 859-233-0194 can also be used as it will be re-routed to the Versailles office.
“We are challenged to complete crop reporting for all producers before the July 15 deadline,” Hudnall said.
Fayette, Scott and Jessamine County Farmers can call and request maps be prepared and sent to them to complete.
All customer service interactions will occur at the Versailles FSA Office until further notice.
The Versailles FSA Office, like most FSA offices throughout the state, cannot accept visitors/producers in the office. Producers must call the office in advance of requesting maps, forms and services from our office. They must set up an appointment or leave contact information for our staff to contact them once their maps and forms are ready for pick up.
Once they arrive, they can and our staff can meet them in the parking lot with the previously requested forms and documentation. All face-to-face and in-person assistance will be limited in an effort to protect employees and producers. Email correspondence is highly encouraged.
