Congressman Andy Barr announced new mobile office hours for the sixth-district’s 19 counties last week.
Mobile office hours offer constituents the opportunity to meet with a member of Barr’s staff in person at a location in the constituent’s home county.
“One of the cornerstones of my service, and something in which I take great pride, is my accessibility initiative,” Barr said. “Mobile office hours provide constituents in the sixth-district the opportunity to meet with a member of my staff in person in their own home county to discuss issues they are having with a federal agency.”
New office hours for Jessamine County will be 2 to 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning Nov. 12. Office hours are held in the fiscal court chambers of the Jessamine County Courthouse, located at 101 N. Main St.
During mobile office hours, Barr’s staff can assist constituents with federal agency issues including: Social Security disability benefits; Supplemental Security Income (SSI); Medicare benefits; expedited passport requests; IRS issues; U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services; Veterans compensation claims, military records, service issues and medals
