Kettle corn, worship under the stars and fellowship with family and friends — It wouldn’t be summer without Asbury University’s annual Faith & Family Night
Join alumni, students and staff at Whitaker Bank Ballpark on Saturday, July 27 for a fun summer night.
For nearly a decade, Asbury has partnered with the Lexington Legends to host Faith and Family Night, an evening of professional baseball, fireworks and a special concert from top Christian performing artists.
This year’s concert will feature Christian rock phenomenon I Am They.
The band is most known for their radio-spun hits like “Scars” and “My Feet Are on the Rock.” I Am They’s emotionally uplifting, worship ballads are sonically reminiscent of late nineties Christian country-rock groups, with a modern twist.
Faith and Family Night is one of the Legends’ most-attended games of the season and draws Asbury students, staff and alumni from across the state. Last year’s Faith and Family Night drew a crowd of 7,700 guests, with 35 church and youth groups in attendance. In previous years, Faith and Family Night has featured bands like The Afters, 7eventh Time Down, Royal Tailor and Sanctus Real.
The Legends will face off against the Augusta GreenJackets in what is sure to be a celebratory summer night at the ballpark. The kids will participate in jovial games, prize giveaways and contests between innings. Last year’s Faith and Family Night featured an exciting demonstration from Asbury’s Equine Program.
As the event is expected to sell out, those who wish to attend should obtain their individual or group tickets as soon as possible at LexingtonLegends.com. A limited number of discounted tickets will be available for Asbury students, faculty, staff and alumni. To reserve, contact MarCom@asbury.edu.
