Nicholasville man arrested for assault, resisting arrest

Jeremy Young, 29, of 1825 Liberty Road Apt. 125 in Lexington, was arrested Jan. 27 for resisting arrest and fourth-degree assault, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to a physical domestic dispute in a vehicle on the side of US27. Upon arrival, Young was seen digging in a glove box and refused orders to stop.

When Young was removed from the vehicle, he approached one of the officers screaming and removed his jacket, according to the citation.

While being detained, Young refused to put his hands behind his back and pulled away from officers.

The other subject in the vehicle allegedly told officers Young had scratched them on the face, and according to the citation there were noticeable marks on the subject’s face.

Young was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Lexington man arrested for DUI

Patrick Dewayne Morton, 51, of 613 Lin Wal Drive in Lexington, was arrested Jan. 29 for wanton endangerment and DUI, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers passed Morton’s vehicle in Garrard County near Meadow Lake Drive and caught up with the vehicle in Jessamine County.

Morton was removed from the vehicle and detained.

There was damage to the front side of the vehicle, and the exhaust had been dragging behind the vehicle. Morton allegedly told officers he had struck a fence in Garrard County at an unknown location.

Morton allegedly passed four to five cars on the US27, and according to the citation, knowingly put them at risk.

Morton was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for DUI

Jorge Luis Ramos, 51, of 63 Leedean Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 24 for DUI, careless driving and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to a call about a reckless driver. It was reported the vehicle was all over the roadway and tailgating other vehicles, according to the citation.

While behind the vehicle, officers observed the vehicle cross into the bike lane and over the center lane several times.

After conducting a traffic stop, Ramos was described as having slurred speech.

Ramos allegedly told officers he drank one beer earlier.

A field sobriety test was performed, which Ramos failed. A preliminary breath test was given, with a result of .188.

Ramos was arrested and allowed officers to move his vehicle.

At that time, officers noticed a half full beer can in the center console.

Ramos was transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for DUI

Karen Enfinger, 51, of 106 Stephens Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 30 for DUI, disregarding stop signs and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in vehicle, according to a citation released by the Jessamine County Detention Center.

An officer had a road blocked off with cones and emergency equipment activated. Enfinger drove through the cones not hitting her brakes and failed to yield the right of way to a police officer.

A preliminary breath test result showed .113. A search of the vehicle resulted in the confiscation of two bottles of alcohol. One of the bottles was half empty.

Enfinger was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
