Nicholasville woman arrested for DUI
Tera Renee Denny, 42, of 222 Butler Blvd. in Wilmore, was arrested Aug. 30 for DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers responded to 100 S. Hendren Way in reference to a subject passed out behind the wheel in a drive through. The subject was allegedly observed leaving the drive through and driving head on into a curb, according to the citation.
Upon contacting Denny, he was described as having constricted pupils. A field sobriety test was performed which Denny failed. A search of the vehicle resulted in a syringe in the head liner above the driver seat.
Denny was transported to St. Joseph Jessamine where he submitted to a Kentucky state police drug test. Denny was then transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Lexington man arrested for methamphetamine
Richard W. Mize, 58, of 164 Lakeshore Drive #5 in Lexington, was arrested Aug. 31 for first-degree promoting contraband, no registration plates, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and failure of owner to maintain required insurance, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Mize was stopped for no head or tail lights illuminated. Upon approaching Mize’s vehicle, Mize was reportedly already out of the car and approaching the police cruiser. Mize was asked to go back to his vehicle, after which officers confirmed that Mize was operating on a suspended license with several failure to appear citations.
Mize reportedly could not produce proof of current insurance upon request and was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine. A search conducted by officers also resulted in the confiscation of suspected methamphetamine from Mize’s wallet.
Mize was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville woman arrested for public intoxication
Marcia Lynn Wells, 46, of 500 Beauford Place #75 in Nicholasville, was arrested twice Aug. 29 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
At 1:36 p.m., Wells was found under the influence at Lake Mingo Park and was described as not able to sit still. She also had jerky and erratic movements, according to the citation.
Wells was also described as having difficulty taking normal breaths and spoke very quickly to the point her speech was almost unrecognizable.
Wells was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
At 7:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to the BP gas station on Etter Drive where Wells was reportedly stumbling around inside the store and had knocked over a case of bottles.
Upon officer’s arrival, Wells was found outside the gas station and sitting in the driver’s side of a maroon pick-up truck.
Wells was described as unsteady on her feet, twitching and scratching at her arms and having slurred speech. After being told multiple times to sit still, Wells reportedly still began to twitch uncontrollably.
Wells was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Lexington woman arrested for possession of controlled substance
Amber E. Lupher, 32, of 1757 Normandy Road in Lexington, was arrested Aug. 29 for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and a parole violation, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Lupher was arrested on an open ewarrant. A search of the bags which were found in her possession yielded a crystal-like substance (suspected methamphetamine) from within a cigarette pack.
Lupher allegedly told officers the bag belonged to another female who was not present.
Lupher was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Lexington man arrested for public intoxication
William M. Kegley, 28, of 1765 Hoover Road in Lexington, was arrested Aug. 28 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the Valero gas station to assist the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Department in an eviction notice. Upon arrival, Kegley was reportedly in the parking lot and was described as sweating profusely. Kegley allegedly could not stand still and was speaking with sporadic sentences.
Kegley was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Elizabeth Headley, 30, of 310 Thacker Drive in Wilmore, was arrested for failure to appear.
— Donna Taneill Whitehead, 42, of 712 Chestnut St. #E in Nicholasville, was arrested Aug. 26 for fourth-degree assault.
— William B. McFadden, 41, of 922 Delaware St. in Leander, was arrested Aug. 27 for failure to appear and contempt of court.
— Daniel McNeely, 61, of 323 Laurel Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Aug. 27 for failure to appear.
— Paul Clem Jr., 26, of 1101 Hunters Ferry Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Aug. 27 for non-payment of court fees.
— Joshua Daniels, 26, of 511 Foxwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Aug. 27 for non-payment of court fees.
