Trauma-affected child seminar at Wilmore Free Methodist
Wilmore Free Methodist Church will host a seminar for schoolteachers, administrators and children’s ministry leaders from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25. Located at 1200 Lexington Road in Wilmore, instruction and discussion will focus on understanding how early trauma affects children in the classroom and exploring strategies to empower, connect and correct the trauma-affected child in your classroom with compassion. There is no charge for the seminar, and a certificate of attendance will be available for professional development credit. Helping Hands Ministry hosts bake, yard sale
Helping Hands Ministry will host a bake and yard sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8. The event will be at Rite Aid in Kimberley Square and will feature homemade baked goods. For more information, call Kate Stinnett at 859-885-5129.

New Beginnings announces new location
Services at New Beginnings Full Gospel Church, previously located at 120 Blueberry Lane, have moved to 220 Edgewood Drive at 11 a.m. Sundays and 7 p.m. Thursdays. Concert at Beulah United Methodist
The Capital City Boys Quartet will perform at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church. The church is located at 1787 River Road. All are welcome.
Bethel Harvest Church food distribution
Bethel Harvest Church, located at 3260 Lexington Road, will host a food distribution every Thursday from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. The church will also distribute produce only every Monday from noon to 12:30 p.m. The event is free to all Jessamine County residents who present a county ID.
