Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Shaw

May 20, 1948 – Feb. 21, 2018

Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Shaw, 69, husband of Debra Susan “Susie” Torbert Shaw, passed Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018. He was born May 20, 1948 in Jessamine County to the late John Taylor Shaw Jr. and Mable Christine Smith Masterson. Kenny was a retired building code plans examiner for the state of Kentucky. He loved playing and listening to music, hunting and being outdoors. Kenny also worked at one time as a Nicholasville Police Officer. Additional family survivors are a son, Caleb Taylor Shaw, two step children, Beth Pitmon and Jeffrey Pitmon, a step granddaughter, Emma McCord, four siblings, Ron Shaw, Barbara (Jimmy) McCullough, Beverly (John) Ginter and Malcolm (Pam) Shaw, eight nieces and nephews, Noell, Mindy, Donna, Kristi, Wendy, Andrew, Jennifer and Katheryn, a special cousin, Hazel Madden, and other family members. Service was 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Quinn West officiating. Visitation was Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service was 10:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers were Malcolm Shaw, Ron Shaw, Caleb Shaw, Jeffrey Pitmon, Andrew Shaw and Jeremy Wilson. Alice Faye Johnson Partin, 74, widow of Jimmy Partin, passed Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was born May 18, 1943 in Lexington to John Henry Johnson and Evelyn Foley Johnson Harmon. Alice liked to travel, especially to Hawaii and Las Vegas, and go on cruises. Survived by three children, Marcia Partin (Charley) Hager, Laurie Partin Sherfey and Greg Partin, thirteen grandchildren, Kyle, Brittany, Colton, Tabitha, Brian, Tony, Tara, Hannah, Tyler, Daniel, Ethan, Jasmine and Allison, seven great grandchildren, Taylor, Jasmine, Dakota, Damian, Shana, Brandon, Mikey and Christopher, two brothers, Ralph (Janice) Johnson and John Wayne Johnson, and other family members. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
