The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a jury duty scam that has recently resurfaced.

According to authorities, a county resident came forward last week and reported receiving a phone call informing them that there had been a warrant issued for them because they did not respond to summons for jury duty.

The Jessamine County Sheriffs Office wants to inform all county resident that their office does not call individuals and tell them they have a warrant because of jury duty. Anyone who receives a phone call telling them so is asked to contact the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.
