Nicholasville resident Glydus Peel turned 100 and rode down Main Street in a Mustang Convertible on Saturday, July 22.
The family would like to thank everyone for the many cards she received and to all who came out to her birthday party at Rock Fence Park to wish her well.
The family extends thanks to Judge Executive David West, Jessamine County Parks and Recreation, Hospice of the Bluegrass and every one who took part in making her 100th birthday a very special day.
They would also like to thank Kroger for donating the cake and to Fazolis and manager Tammy Rice for donating the catered dinner for her family. West gave Peel a proclamation, which deemed July 22 as Glydus Peel Day.
