—Harmony Fellowship Church will host a song-fest Sunday at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19. Saints Sewn — an up and coming indy-grass musical group will be the featured guests.  All are welcome to attend this special hour of Gospel singing and celebration. For information call 333-6177.

—A new Bible study will begin on Feb. 1 at The Nicholasville Salvation Army. The group will be studying women in the Bible using the book Twelve Extraordinary Women by John MacArthur. This twelve —week Bible study is open for all women. It will meet on Thursday mornings from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The Salvation Army is located on 205 South 1st Street. —SonLight Fellowship Church of God will host a live concert and worship service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5. The church is located at 216 E. Oak Street in Nicholasville. The concert will include Billy Hodges, the former tenor singer for groups including Under Grace, Dixie Echoes, The Florida Boys and most recently, The Kingdom Heirs from Dollywood. No ticket necessary, but a love offering will be taken.

—Sulphur Christian Church in Nicholasville will host a Southern Gospel Concert at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11. The concert will feature Cross Country, Barbara Smith, Gayle Sexton, Cathy Young & Frankie Reynolds. Pastor John Sanders welcomes everyone. For more information call 859-327-7698.

—Little Hickman Christian Church — located at the corner of Little Hickman and Brumfield Lane — will host a pancake breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. on Feb. 11 to benefit a church youth group. The event is free and everyone is invited. Donations are accepted.

—Logana Baptist Church has changed its afternoon worship service time to 2:30 p.m. starting immediately and lasting until March. 

—A prayer meeting will be hosted every Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at Sonlight Fellowship Church of God at 216 E. Oak St. Everyone is welcome. 

—Women’s Bible study will meet Thursday mornings from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Nicholasville Salvation Army located at 205 South 1st Street. All women are welcome to gather around the table each week for Bible study and prayer. If you have any questions you may call or text Kim Ball at 859-227-1153

—Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, 100 Lime Lane, offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera Bread, every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.

—Providence Christian Church, 101 Providence Way, hosts a “Bodies in Motion” low-impact exercise class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.

—Walking With Love’s Laundry Love ministry is offered every third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at Wildcat Laundry, 630 Edgewood Drive. Households of up to four people can do a double-load of laundry for free; households of more than four people can do a triple-load of laundry for free. Anyone can use the service, but each household is limited to using it once every three months. An I.D. will be requested in order to track how often households are using the service.

—Walking With Love Food Pantry at 220 Edgewood Drive is open from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday.

—Free meal offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday at 303 W. Maple Street in the Community Center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church.  The meal is a restaurant quality hot, nutritionally balanced meal.  Takeout meals are also available, one meal per person.  The meal is funded by freewill donations from churches, businesses and residents of Jessamine Co.  No one is ever asked to pay for their meal. Volunteers are always welcome. To gain information about volunteering or donating please call the church office at 859-885-4481 and inquire about Manna Meals.
