Asbury University students recently shared stories of their trip to the 2016 Summer Olympics with residents of Wesley Village on Nov. 16.
Asbury University Senior Media Communication Majors Abby Whit and Andrew King and Dr. Jim Owens, founder of the Asbury Olympic broadcast student internship program, presented to residents. Owens has taken hundreds of students to a total of 12 summer and winter Olympic Games over the past 32 years, said Alan Beuscher, vice president for community relations
The presentations were part of the Alspach/Benny Distinguished Lecture Series at Wesley Village. The series is named in honor of residents Dean Alspach and Bob Benny, who together have taken over 20 courses with younger students on the Asbury University campus.
