As of Tuesday, Nov. 15, Jessamine County is under a burn ban.

Judge Executive of Jessamine County, David West, sent an executive order on Tuesday prohibiting outside burning in Jessamine County due to excessive dryness and fire hazard conditions.

The ban, based on recommendations from the Jessamine County fire chief and the Kentucky Division of Forestry, is now in effect and will be lifted when the hazardous conditions have passed.
